I feel I have gotten off to a slow start this year. I have completed Jan. and Feb,but this is my first post. I am not real happy with my Feb. piece. Jan is called Watch Time Fly and usese Delicas. Feb is call Sweet Heart and also uses Delicas. I used the ruffle technique I learned from Robin's book, and found it to be lots of fun and pretty as well. My picture did not turn out so well.

I love your Feb. piece (it will grow on you!) and the ruffle technique is very, very pretty, especially against the simpler beaded circle. Your January piece triggers an emotion in me, I'm not sure what, but it feels almost "haunting". I think the realization of how quickly time passes can do that. Great work!
You are going faster than I am. I've only finished January. February is ready to go; I just haven't put any beads to it yet. Hang in there!
i think both your pieces have turned out very nice. i really love the ruffle...it's fun to look at and fun to make.
I'm with Barbara about a haunting emotional sense in you January piece. Did you have anything in mind when you made it? Is there a story here? February is beautiful too... Great ruffle! You're right about the pictures not doing the work justice. Do you have a photo editing program on your computer where you could crop the images to show just the beading? That would help a lot!
